The UK Prime Minister Ate A Hot Dog With A Knife And Fork, Shocked Entire Country
British Prime Minister David Cameron committed a fast-casual faux pas when he was spotted eating a hot dog with a knife and fork. Cameron committed the questionable act at a family Easter barbecue in near Poole, England, during a campaign stop.
The photo of the U.K.'s current leader, published by The Daily Mail, went viral. Apparently, Cameron is more comfortable noshing on messy foods with the help of cutlery. Back in 2012, The Daily Mail printed a photo of Cameron on his 2012 visit to the United States eating some franks with President Obama: "the posh Dave struggled to eat a hot dog without silver service," the tabloid quipped at the time.
The issue was divisive in the Twitter-sphere:
I knew Cameron was posh but eating a hot dog with a knife and fork is sooooooooooo upper class http://t.co/birPg6dY0U

David Cameron's attempt to look like he can relate to "everyday folk" by eating a hot dog with a knife & fork has got me in stitches

Don't care how David Cameron eats a Hot Dog. I do care about Food Banks and how families are struggling to eat across UK. Maybe report that.

Don't worry, Dave, you're not alone. Mayor Bill de Blasio was blasted last year for eating New York pizza with cutlery: a fork pas that is decidedly much more embarrassing.
