Pizza Hut Is Launching A Craft Beer-Infused Crust

One Pizza Hut in England is more upper-crust than the rest. Introducing, craft beer-infused pizza crust available at the Finchley Lido location just outside London. For one day only, on May 20, you can try two flatbread pizzas made with a craft beer crust. Even more intriguing: If you dine at the designated Pizza Hut location and whisper the words, "I like it hop" to your server, you'll get to try the tasty beer concoctions for free.

The two beer-infused pizzas feature premium ingredients: The Steak Fest (three-cheese blend topped with shaved steak, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and an onion garnish with a beer-infused BBQ sauce), and the vegetarian American Hot (three cheese blend, sweet corn, mushrooms, caramelized onions, roquito chiles, jalapeƱos, spring onion garnish, and a beer-infused BBQ sauce).

If all goes well and fans give the pizza creations two pints up, the pizzas may become a mainstay at Pizza Huts across the U.K., and hopefully the concept will make its way across the pond.

"We know that craft beers are really popular right now and we're celebrating this not just by adding craft beers to our menus, but also by adding this to our pizza dough," Pizza Hut UK rep Kath Austin told The Mirror. "It took our team many hours to perfect the recipes and flavor combinations, but all of their hard work definitely paid off as we're thrilled with the results and can't wait for our customers to try them."
