The Airhook doubles as a cup holder and platform to mount electronic devices.

If you’ve ever boarded a plane with a cup of coffee or beverage that is not practical to store in the seat pocket in front of you, this Kickstarter project might solve your woes.

Enter the Airhook — a detachable cup holder or storage container that you clip onto the top of the tray table. Not only can it hold drinks, but it props up electronics, such as iPads or iPhones, so that they’re positioned at eye level.

The Kickstarter campaign reached its goal of $15,000 in three days, with over $32,000 raised to back the project. Airhook backers are expected to receive their products in December 2015.

There is no word yet on whether this product will be distributed to the masses, but the Kickstarter page does note that there may be some potential challenges in manufacturing and logistics. The final size and dimensions might be compromised, but we won’t know until Airhook developers begin production.

The project launched on Kickstarter in June 2015 and will end on July 26.
