That Was Fast! Sasha Obama's Summertime Restaurant Job Ends Tomorrow

Barack and Michelle Obama may be the leaders of the free world, but that doesn't mean their kids get a pass to do whatever they want. While their eldest daughter, Malia, is prepping for a gap year before she starts at Harvard University, Sasha has been hard at work serving seafood at Martha's Vineyard. The youngest Obama has spent the past week learning the ropes of the food service industry at Nancy's, serving and prepping the restaurant before the lunch hour begins.

Photos show Sasha in a blue T-shirt, part of the uniform at Nancy's, which is coincidentally one of the Obamas' favorite restaurants to visit on Martha's Vineyard. But her four-hour shifts will soon end as soon as her famous parents pick her up this weekend.

"She's been working downstairs at takeout," a server at Nancy's told The Boston Herald. "We were wondering why there were six people helping this girl, but then we found out who it was."

The White House has declined to comment on Sasha's summer job, but Michelle has emphasized in the past that she and the president try to give their girls a normal life — well, as normal as their lives could be with six secret service agents following them around while bussing tables.
