The Wahlberg Brothers Are Bringing The Wahlburgers To Coney Island

The famous Wahlberg family will soon be bringing their Wahlburgers chain to Coney Island. Donnie Wahlberg (formerly of New Kids on the Block), Mark Wahlberg (rapper Marky Mark–turned–actor), and their brother Paul will open a location of their burger chain on the boardwalk of New York's iconic amusement park. The announcement for the Wahlberg Brothers' newest fast food addition was first made last month, and finally, after hoping to open their doors in early July, the brothers have confirmed that they will be opening "very soon."

"When we were shooting the video [for "Please Don't Go Girl"] we thought Coney Island was going to shut down. It wasn't the best economic times out there," Donnie Wahlberg told The Daily News, talking about the band's music video shoot on Coney Island in 1988. "To imagine years later that our name will be on the sign of a burger joint that probably wouldn't even be possible without New Kids on the Block... it's a proud, proud moment."

The 6,000-square-foot space will be located across the street from Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs, with a walk-up window for burgers, fries, and frappes (which in Boston means "milkshakes," according to the brothers). This will be New York's first Wahlburgers location
