There's A 'Twin Peaks' Popup Coming To SXSW

Attention cherry pie lovers, coffee fiends, and fans of one of the strangest shows in TV history: A Twin Peaks popup diner is coming to the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. The popup diner, which will replicate the Double R Diner seen in the show, will give out free cherry pie and serve High Brew Coffee, Twin Peaks-themed Voodoo Doughnuts, and cocktails on March 16 and March 17.

Real Estate, Neko Case, Julie Byrne, Tim Darcy, and Tame Impala's Cameron Avery are just a few of the musical artists rumored to be performing at the diner. There is even rumored to be a guest appearance by actor Kyle MacLachlan (Special Agent Dale Cooper), according to Spin.

The two-day event, as you may guess, is promoting Twin Peaks' return after 26 years with a two-hour episode on Showtime on May 21 and a subsequent highly anticipated third season of the quirky show about a murder mystery in the small town where "everybody knows everyone and nothing is what it seems."

We're crossing our fingers for a log cake on the menu, in honor of the recently departed Log Lady, Catherine E. Coulson.
