Someone Threw Powdered Sugar In Adam Levine's Face While He Was Signing Autographs

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine was hit in the face with a bag of powdered sugar while signing autographs outside of Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this week.

The attack seems to be in reference to Maroon 5's song Sugar, which includes the line, "Sugar, yes please. Won't you come and put it down on me?"

Levine, however, was less than pleased to know that someone was so acutely aware of his lyrics.

The singer was uninjured but "turned sour," as CNN put it. He immediately turned away from the crowd and walked into a restricted area.

"It looked like he wanted to fight the guy," a witness told the network. "I think this guy had it planned. It was a brown bag with tape around it, which was weird. I just saw powder everywhere. It was just so quick."

The suspect, a man in his 30s, was subdued by security and arrested on suspicion of battery.
