Snoop Dogg Gives Out 1,500 Turkeys To Families In Need In Inglewood, California

For the second year in a row, rapper Snoop Dogg has returned to the town he calls his second home, Inglewood, California, to give out Thanksgiving turkeys to families in need. This year, the big-hearted hip-hop artist gave out more than 1,500 turkeys and spent time taking more than 800 selfies with his grateful fans, as well as giving out plenty of free hugs, according to Page Six.

Inglewood, one of the more crime-ridden cities in California, is often featured in rap songs by artists like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.

The annual giveaway started last year when Snoop approached the mayor of Inglewood and asked what he could do to help. Last year, the rapper gave out 800 turkeys, a number that he practically doubled this year. Snoop says he will be continuing the tradition annually.

"Inglewood, y'all know I love you." Snoop announced at the community event on November 19. "This is my second home."
