Ruby Rose Throws French Fries At Bartender, Gets Kicked Out Of New Orleans Restaurant

Australian model, DJ, and actress Ruby Rose was kicked out of a New Orleans Restaurant last Friday for throwing fries at the bartender.

Rose, her assistant, and her tour manager went to Rebellion Bar and Urban Kitchen for dinner before her show in New Orleans last Friday.

According to the owner Seung Hong, Rose and her group were informed that there would be a wait to be seated and served food, as the restaurant was busy, reports NOLA. Hong offered to comp the appetizers and offered to buy the group a round of drinks, to which Rose refused. A bartender also offered the group drinks, which were declined, and as the bartender walked away Rose threw a French fry at his shoulder. When the bartender turned around to check on the table, Rose reportedly picked up a handful of fries and threw them at him. Rose's group was then asked to leave the restaurant.

Hong says, "Ruby was already kind of pretty over the top upset, kind of laying into me, which — whatever, I'm in the service industry and it's my job to please customers. It was the first time I've ever had to ask someone to leave, and it was Ruby Rose."

Rose detailed her version of the night's events in a Facebook post. She says that when she refused the drinks from the bartender and explained that she was sober, he "made some really rude and vulgar comments to the table." Rose continues, "When someone makes repeated derogatory jokes about the sobriety I worked so hard to achieve, it's hard not to react emotionally... Every day I learn new lessons about handling cultural and social ignorance. I am deeply regretful to the French fry and I am regretful that I reacted at all."
