Kirsten Dunst Says She Ate Lots Of Pizza And Grilled Cheese To Gain Weight For 'Fargo'

Actress Kirsten Dunst admitted that she ate lots of bread and cheese to gain weight for her latest television role.

Dunst is known for movies like Bring It On,Spider-Man, and Jumanji, but now the 33-year-old actress stars as Peggy Blomquist on the FX television show Fargo.

Peggy Blomquist is a small town hairdresser in the Midwest with dreams of being in Hollywood. To fit the role, Dunst revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that she had to gain some weight.

"Listen, I was in Calgary and it was cold," Dunst said in the interview with Jimmy Kimmel on October 12. "I ordered in a lot of pizza, lot of Thai, grilled cheese — I just had lots of cheeses and breads together."

Actors and actresses gain or lose weight for character roles quite often. Some notable people who gained weight include Russell Crowe in Body of Lies and George Clooney in Syriana.

"Now I'm like, 'Yeah, I gained weight for this role,'" Dunst said in the interview, "but really I just sat in my bed and watched Friday Night Lights and ate."
