Guy Fieri is pretty pleased to be on Drake’s radar.

After discovering that Drake’s newest mixtape, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, included a warm shout-out out to Guy Fieri on the song “6 Man” — “Fieri, I’m in the kitchen, I’m a magician” — we couldn’t be more pleased to find out that Fieri has responded.

Thanks to First We Feast, who recently caught up with Fieri to ask him how he felt about his new lyrical legacy, we know now that he loved it, and that the kinship is real.

“It was a total surprise,” Fieri told First We Feast. “I’m still getting a big grin out of that one. Drake’s an awesome guy. I love his music and energy.”

What’s more, he thinks that Drake has some culinary prowess of his own.

“My nephew and son are down with contemporary culture, and one of them sent me a message that said, ‘Did you know about this?’ That was the morning it came out; and then Drake posted about it. It all got to me in a flurry. But how great? Because the guy has got skills in the kitchen, he really does. He has an appreciation for great food. It was quite a moment for me to get that name drop.”
