Get Stoked, Preppies! A 'Saved By The Bell' Popup Diner Is Opening In Chicago

Better practice flexing your biceps in dayglow-colored muscle shirts, because Saved by the Bell is getting its own popup restaurant. The hit '90s sitcom starring Tiffani-Amber Thiessen and Mario Lopez will be the theme of an upcoming popup diner in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood, according to the Chicagoist.

Saved by the Max is modeled after the Max Diner, the hangout that is featured prominently in Saved by the Bell, and will have little nods and references to the teen sitcom. Expect the parody popup diner/bar to open on June 1 with menu items like AC Sliders, Lisa Turtle Milkshake, and Preppy BLTs, along with themed cocktails that the show's characters wouldn't have been able to drink because they were high school students.

There will be a daily Saved by the Bell costume contest and the winner will get $100. Former stars of the show are also rumored to be showing up at some point, including Bayside High's stern principal Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins), and nightly events including themed karaoke, trivia, and '80s and '90s dance parties, according to the event's Facebook page. Oink, oink baby!
