Cinnabon Apologizes For 'Best Buns In The Galaxy' Carrie Fisher Tweet
The entire Star Wars fandom and the pop culture universe mourned the loss of Carrie Fisher yesterday, best known for her role as the fierce and noble Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy.There have been plenty of moving tributes to the late great actress, but many felt that Cinnabon's memorial tweet/advertisement was tacky, to say the least.
The tweet has since been deleted, and Cinnabon has issued an apology.
Our deleted tweet was genuinely meant as a tribute, but we shouldn't have posted it. We are truly sorry.

Fisher was known for her bawdy, self-deprecating humor, particularly when it came to her own struggles with drug addiction and mental health. She even joked about her own death, saying she'd want to be known as having "drowned in silver moonlight and strangled by her own brassiere." Perhaps she would have seen the humor in the Cinnabon "buns" tweet.
