Ariana Grande Releases Second Apology In Wake Of Doughnut-Gate; Shop Gets Downgraded By Health Department

Facing backlash over her ill-considered antics over Fourth of July weekend, during which she was videotaped licking a tray of doughnuts and saying that she hates America, pop singer Ariana Grande apologized for a second time for her behavior, this time in a video.

Explaining that she thought her first apology, which included criticisms of the American food industry, missed the mark, Grande told fans, "Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly, that you have no idea was taken, is such a rude awakening, that you don't know what to do. I was so disgusted with myself. I shoved my face in a pillow and wanted to disappear"

Meanwhile, in the aftermath of Grande's highly publicized behavior, Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California, is reportedly being investigated by the health department for allowing doughnuts to be left unprotected, such that an unthinking patron might be tempted to touch, or worse, lick them.

The shop's health rating has also been downgraded from an "A" to a "B," according to The Associated Press
