Eataly Is Finally Coming To Los Angeles

Eataly, as many of you know, is  Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich, and Lidia Bastianich's Italian megastore/restaurant hub/Nutella haven that started in Torino, spread to New York's Flatiron District, and later opened in Chicago. Well, now that apotheosis of Italian cuisine is coming to the West Coast. Although it's not set in stone, it's likely that an Eataly location will be opening at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles sometime in 2017. According to Racked, Westfield, the gigantic megamall that's undergoing a huge renovation, recently signed a lease with Eataly to build the new location by 2017.

"We are currently looking at bringing Eataly to Los Angeles, but nothing has been decided yet," a representative told The Daily Meal. Stay tuned for more details.

LA isn't the only place that the Italian megastore is looking to expand to. Grub Street reported that Eataly may also be opening at 4 World Trade Center, although that project is more of a rumor than the LA location. Eataly already has a few locations in Italy itself, but will be opening "the Disneyland of food" called "Eataly World" in Bologna in 2015.
