When Stolen Credit Card Is Declined, Thief Steals Money From Cash Register Instead

Giving new meaning to the phrase, "going for broke," a thief in Durham, North Carolina, grabbed cash from a KFC register after the purchase he had made with a stolen credit card was declined. WNCN reports that the incident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 20 at the KFC at 806 Fayetteville Street.

A Durham Police press release states the suspect "grabbed a small amount of cash from a register and ran out of the store." The thief is described as a black male with a dark complexion and tied up dreadlocks. He was seen wearing a blue puffy jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.
