We Now Know What Will Be In Burger King's Peace Day Burger

Burger King announced that they will in fact be making a Peace Day Burger on September 21, in honor of Peace Day to raise awareness for the non-profit organization Peace One Day. And now we know exactly what will be in it.

Originally, Burger King wrote an open letter to McDonald's suggesting the two franchises set aside their differences for one day to make a McWhopper. But, McDonald's declined. But other chains including Denny's and Krystal, saw the Peace Day Burger as an opportunity to collaborate with Burger King.

The Peace Day Burger will contain parts of Denny's Bacon Slamburger, Wayback Burger's Wayback Classic, Krystal's Cheese Krystal, Giraffas' Brutus, and Burger King's Whopper. It looks like the Peace Day Burger will be a very meat-heavy offering with bacon, ham, and two beef patties.

Burger King also addressed McDonalds' decision to not make a McWhopper. "As far as McDonald's goes, any activity they undertake, whether in partnership with Burger King or on their own, would be incredible, as it will raise further awareness for Peace Day," Fernando Machado, senior vice president for global brand management at Burger King, said in a statement. "And inadvertently, the McWhopper has 100% become a reality for some. The public wholeheartedly embraced the campaign and thousands of DIY McWhoppers have been created, reviewed, and shared on social media."

This carnivorous burger will only be available for one day only in Atlanta at a pop-up restaurant at 1122 Northside Drive from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will only be 1,500 burgers made, and they will be free of charge. All donations from the event will go directly to Peace One Day, an organization dedicated to ceasefire and non-violence awareness.
