Unilever Releases 17 New Frozen Treats, Just in Time for Summer

Offerings are inspired by nostalgia and memorable moments, two main reasons why people enjoy ice cream

Unilever gives the scoop on its 17 new ways for us to indulge for the lazy summer days ahead.

For the new flavors across five of its ice cream brands — Breyers, Good Humor, Klondike, Magnum Ice Cream, and Popsicle — the company has taken favorite desserts and reimagined them as frozen treats, as well as incorporated popular flavors, according to a release.

“At Unilever, we're on a consistent journey to better understand the connection consumers have to ice cream,” said Nick Soukas, director of ice cream at Unilever. “We've discovered that nostalgia and memorable moments are two reasons consumers enjoy ice cream. With this in mind, we've reimagined favorite flavors and pairings that cultivate great memories – like birthday cake, s'mores and chocolate and peanut butter – to surprise and delight our ice cream fans.”

Breyers celebrates its 150th birthday with an ice cream cake flavor, featuring a layer of chocolate ice cream and chocolaty crunchies sandwiched between vanilla ice cream. The brand also introduces Chocolate Peanut Butter, Coconut Fudge, and pre-portioned snack cups in chocolate and vanilla.

New from Breyers Gelato Indulgences are Chocolate Fudge Truffle, Chocolate Hazelnut, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and Salted Caramel Truffle.

Good Humor introduces a Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich, which is available in the Northeast. It features “creamy, frozen chocolate-flavored dessert, coated in chocolate chips, sandwiched between two chocolate cookies with milk chocolate chips.” Also new is an Oreo Cone filled with frozen cookies and topped with Oreo pieces.

Klondike takes inspiration from the campfire with its S’Mores Stickless Bar, featuring marshmallow ice cream with sweet graham cracker swirls inside a milk chocolate-flavored shell. Magnum Ice Cream expands its Doubles offerings with Double Raspberry and Double Chocolate Vanilla.

Lastly, the latest from Popsicle is meant to “inspire summertime fun at any age.” New for 2016 are Tropical Paradise, Sugar-Free Red Classics, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which includes four “action-packed flavors”: Orange Fury, Cherry Crush, Blue Raspberry Blast, and Smashing Grape.

New Unilever offerings are now available at grocery stores nationwide.
