Trader Joe's Introduces Artisan Bread Pretzel Croissants

Joining its substantial number of other pretzel offerings, which include nuggets, sticks, slims, twists, and rods, Trader Joe's now introduces Artisan Bread Pretzel Croissants. In its 'What's New' release, Trader Joe's assures "avid foodie[s]" that its use of the word "Artisan" isn't just for show. It writes, "For Trader Joe's, Artisan means breads made from scratch by experienced craftspeople, using the highest quality ingredients. There are no shortcuts and there is no shortchanging the quality."

The Artisan Bread Pretzel Croissants are hand-formed, fully baked, and made using the traditional laminating method, according to the site. "The dough is folded over with real butter inserted between each layer. This artisan technique yields a delicate croissant with a flaky, chewy texture. Our dough recipe has also been developed to deliver the best yeasty, pretzelly aroma, with a slightly sweet, slightly salty taste."

Trader Joe's Artisan Bread Pretzel Croissants are sold in 5.78 ounce bags containing two croissants each, for $2.49 and can be found on its bakery shelves.
