'Top Chef' Begins Nationwide Casting Call For Season 13
Top Chef has officially confirmed its 13th season return, and is looking across the country for chefs with the stomach and guts for competitive cooking on television.
Casting calls will begin on February 3 and will be held in Nashville, Seattle, Chicago, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills. Along with the application, you'll need to bring some excellent food porn of your own making, a few recent photos of you, a video, a driver's license, and an updated résumé.
Bravo also requests that you bring raw footage only and have someone else film you, so do not attempt to film or edit your own video.
As part of the application, you'll also need to create a dish "inspired by the texture of 'velvet,'" and indicate whether or not you already know any celebrity chefs. You must also be 21, so for those under drinking age, consider your odds at MasterChef Junior (just kidding, you're probably too old).
And if you're wondering right now whether or not you should apply, consider these scenarios from Top Chef judge Hugh Acheson:
Do you shop fast and cook well? Do you like modern plating and crisp chicken skin? Then you should be on Top Chef. http://t.co/onGKRy0kKg
