Thieves Steal $50 Order From Papa John's Delivery Man, Run Into The Woods

A Papa John's delivery man was interrupted when two men approached and stole a substantial order before making their way into the woods.

According to a police report, the thieves stole a 16-inch pizza, 24 hot wings, and a two-liter bottle of Pepsi, as well as the man's pizza bag.

The two men, who approached the driver around midnight on Wednesday, July 15, choked their victim in order to subdue him. They then ran off into the woods with their stolen goods, valued at $46.52.

The driver suffered minor injuries, police reported.

Although we've heard plenty of stories of restaurant employees in precarious situations, this week seems particularly fraught with food theft. Remember the woman who tried to casually pass off her bill to Jesus, and the guy who stole money from a lemonade stand where he had been given free lemonade moments before? Be careful out there, restaurant employees and independent vendors.
