Thanksgiving Comes Early To Subway With New Carved Turkey Sandwich

Have you heard of Christmas in July? Well this is Thanksgiving in April.Subway announced that it will be adding a thick-cut carved turkey Thanksgiving sandwich complete with all the trimmings to its permanent menu this week.

"When we were exploring the new thick cut Carved Turkey, we were inspired by not only the strong emotional connection, but versatility of its flavor profile," says Chris Martone, executive chef of Subway. "The carved turkey can be deliciously paired with many of the fresh vegetables on our menu, as well as with our delicious cheeses, sauces, and with the new thick cut Applewood smoked bacon."

Unfortunately, cranberries, gravy, and stuffing aren't on the menu: Instead you can top your turkey sandwich with regular Subway topping offerings, but at least the turkey isn't made with artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, which Subway has promised to remove from the menu entirely by 2017.
