Taco Bell Is Testing Super-Spicy Ghost Pepper And Habanero Sauces

Taco Bell's original hot sauces, and even its Sriracha-based menu, pale in spicy comparison to these new super-hot concoctions. Taco Bell is testing out ghost pepper and Habanero sauces on the Daredevil Loaded Griller. The new item is very similar to a Beefy Nacho Griller (a grilled flour tortilla filled with ground beef, nacho cheese, and red tortilla strips), but you have your choice of three heat levels: Chipotle, Habanero, and Ghost Pepper.

A Reddit user, after trying the Habanero sauce, said it reminded him or her of the retired lava sauce from Taco Bell. Another user tried the ghost pepper flavor, and although he or she said that it was not "ghost pepper level hot," it was the spiciest thing that she or he had ever eaten at Taco Bell.

Right now you can only get these Daredevil Loaded Grillers in the Cincinnati area for a dollar each, but they will likely (hopefully!) be expanding elsewhere soon. You can also get a $5 Buck Box with a Daredevil Loaded Griller, a Doritos Locos Taco Supreme, Crunchy Taco, and medium drink, according to Brand Eating.
