Subway Releases New Turkey Italiano Sandwich

Mama Mia! Subway is showing some love for Italian flavors. The sandwich chain has added a new sandwich to its lineup of six-inch and foot-long subs: a new Turkey Italiano sandwich, which injects some Italian flair into the boring old turkey sandwich. The new sub, which will be sold in Subway stores starting this month, features Subway's toasty bread, roasted turkey breast, Genoa salami, spicy pepperoni, melted provolone, and fresh vegetables. It's topped with Subway's new Italian vinaigrette, made with oregano, garlic, and black pepper. You can also add a layer of green peppers and onions for even more vegetable flavor.

The new sandwich will be available at Subway locations starting this month for $4.25 for a six-inch sub and $6.75 for a foot-long sandwich. The six-inch sub is only 510 calories, but has 1,490 mg of sodium, two-thirds the recommended daily value, so make the Turkey Italiano a "sometimes" treat.
