'Subway Guy' Jared Sought Sex With Minors And Owned Child Pornography, Federal Documents Say

Former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle, 37, famous for losing 200 pounds on the "Subway diet," is expected to plead guilty today in federal court on charges of child pornography, according to The Associated Press.According to federal documents, Fogle actively tried to pay for sex with minors and bought child pornography produced by the former director of his charity, Russell Taylor, who was arrested months ago. Last month, Fogle's home was raided by the FBI as part of a criminal investigation, and Subway immediately cut ties with the former pitchman.

Yesterday, Subway tweeted a simple statement on the matter: "We no longer have a relationship with Jared and have no further comment."

According to the documents subpoenaed by the FBI, the father of two tried to pay twice for sex acts and bragged about "getting" a 16 year old, stating, "the younger the girl the better." Documents of text messages revealed exchanges between Fogle and various escorts in which he asked for access to 14- and 15-year-old girls.

Earlier this year, when Fogle's former director of charity, whom he had previously called his best friend, was arrested on seven counts of child pornography production and one of possession, Fogle said he was "shocked" and would sever ties with Taylor.

There will be a press conference this afternoon after Fogle's court appearance.
