'Stranger Things' Actor Recreates 'Ferris Bueller' Scene For Domino's Pizza Tracker Ad

This week, Domino's launched a series of commercials to highlight its delivery tracking technology, but the pizza chain's tracker isn't the only star of the campaign. Domino's cast Joe Keery from Netflix's '80s-themed series, Stranger Things, to recreate the modern-day version of the iconic countdown scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

In the ad, Keery follows the Domino's Tracker on his smartwatch as he races home to meet the delivery driver. En route to receive his delivery on time, Keery runs alongside a car driven by Alan Ruck, the actor who played Bueller's best friend in the original film.

"We know that customers find the Domino's Tracker to be a fun part of ordering from Domino's, so we tried to capture their excitement in this new ad," Karen Kaiser, Domino's vice president of advertising, said in a statement. "While we modernized the classic scene with Domino's Tracker technology and Domino's custom-built delivery car, the DXP, the scene otherwise stays true to the '80s Paramount cult classic."
