Sprinkles Is Handing Out Free Cupcakes To Celebrate Its 10th Anniversary

It's the sweetest way to celebrate a birthday: with free cupcakes! Sprinkles Cupcakes, the first-ever cupcake bakery and widely considered one of the forefathers of the Great Cupcake Movement in the early 00s, is celebrating 10 years with one free cupcake for every customer on April 13 at all shops nationwide. In addition to this sweet treat, Sprinkles will also be debuting The Sprinkle, a birthday cake cupcake topped with a hearty dose of cheery rainbow sprinkles.

This cupcake stuff is serious business. On the day of Sprinkles' 10th anniversary, Sprinkles' original Los Angeles will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Dr. Julian Gold, the mayor of Beverly Hills, and company founders Candace and Charles Nelson.

Two of our favorite memories over Sprinkles' brightly-colored history are definitely the opening of the Sprinkles ice cream shop, and introduction of the Cupcake ATM, which came to New York last year, and brought us the beauty of 24 hour cupcake access.

But in all honesty, we just really want to draw your attention to free cupcakes! Mark your calendars, and don't forget to check out if Sprinkles made The Daily Meal's 101 Best Cupcakes in America list this year.
