Scarpetta (Still Without Scott Conant) Is Coming To Montauk, Long Island

An offshoot of Scott Conant's former flagship restaurant, Scarpetta, will be opening in Montauk, Long Island this summer, according to Eater. However, the restaurant, called Scarpetta Beach, will not be run by the Chopped judge, nor will he have anything to do with the Scarpetta empire, since he cut ties with the restaurant that made him famous this past fall. The restaurant, run by LDV Hospitality will reportedly be taking over the restaurant, located at local resort Gurney's Inn.

LDV Hospitality won't be stopping at just one restaurant, though: The restaurant group will also be opening an American Brasserie, a Corso Coffee, and a Regent Cocktail Club inside the resort at the tip of Long Island.

Scott Conant may be busy for now: he's opening up a new restaurant in Miami. But he was in New York this fall doing a one-day "flash" pop-up restaurant called Conant. A full-time restaurant with the same name will be opening in Manhattan later this year.
