Ruth Reichl, Sam Sifton, Alex Guarnaschelli Team Up With Housing Works Nonprofit To Combat AIDS, Homelessness

On Thursday, June 4, New York City nonprofit organization Housing Works will host Taste of Home, a culinary event at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe in SoHo.

The event, dedicated to engaging greater support toward the end of AIDS and homelessness, will feature small plates from several local chefs.

So far, the list includes Jody Williams (Buvette, Via Carota), Carlo Mirarchi (Blanca, Roberta's), Caroline Fidanza (Saltie), Francis Derby (The Cannibal, Resto), and Joe Tarasco (Marta). 

Cocktails will be provided by Dan Sabo of Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles, with spirits from Grand Marnier and Aviation American Gin, wine from Broadbent Selections, and beer from Greenport Harbor Brewing Co.

Featured guests will include honorary chair and former New York Times restaurant critic Ruth Reichl, celebrity chef Alex Guarnaschelli, New York Times food editor Sam Sifton, and Del Posto executive pastry chef Brooks Headley.
