Pumpkin Spice Twinkies Will Be Sold Exclusively At Kroger This Fall

Twinkies are here to stay, and now they will be pumpkin spice-ified (is that a real term?) this fall.

Kroger will be the exclusive retailer of pumpkin spice Twinkies. Though they will feature the same golden sponge cake exterior, the cream filling is pumpkin spice-flavored.

Hostess previously released a line of pumpkin spice CupCakes: pumpkin spice cake with cream filling. It's not surprising that Twinkies are now part of the trend, too.

This isn't the craziest thing to happen to Twinkies. Aside from the fact that they were almost gone forever and people resorted to buying rotting Twinkies from eBay, someone actually made a $125 Twinkie topped with caviar. Pumpkin spice does not seem that strange in comparison, considering how many things are being pumpkin spice-ified these days (like Peeps).

This craze for making everything pumpkin-flavored seems to stem back to the Starbucks pumpkin spice latte, which will actually contain real pumpkin this year.

We're anticipating even more pumpkin spice products will be announced soon, so bring it on, autumn.
