Pumpkin Spice Cheerios Arrive Just Ahead Of The Fall Season

One does not simply walk into a grocery store in September without being visually assaulted by all things pumpkin spice. As the unofficial flavor of fall, pumpkin spice English muffins, coffee, ice cream, and even M&Ms are in vogue once Labor Day hits. The newest addition to the autumnal product scene is pumpkin spice Cheerios. Rumor has it that this spiced breakfast cereal will be hitting grocery aisles as early as next week.

General Mills has confirmed the early release of the new pumpkin spice Cheerios, which initially were thought to be released by Labor Day, when the king of pumpkin spice products — the Starbucks PSL — is usually released. But it looks like between the new Cheerios, the Kellogg's fall lineup, and the similarly flavored new Lindor truffles, pumpkin spice season is starting a month early.

Early reviews note that the cereal contains real pumpkin and tastes a bit like a seasonal candle in a good way. We can definitely see how pumpkin spice Cheerios would work better than, say, pumpkin spice Pringles — and yes, that's a real thing.
