Pregnant Waitress Gets A Surprise $900 Tip

Around this time of the year, people are feeling a little more generous than usual. A pregnant waitress at the Pita Jungle in Phoenix got the surprise of her life when she received an over-the-top $900 tip for a $61 meal from a customer. The receipt said, "This is God's money. He gave it to us so we could give it to you."

"You always hear about these happening, but you never expect to be the recipient of it," Clark told CBS. "It's a huge, huge help for me and my family."

The server, Sarah Clark, is not only nine months pregnant, but told CBS News that she was worried about making ends meet as her fiancé, who also works in the restaurant industry, is scheduled to have leg surgery next week and needs time off. Her guardian angel, in the form of a regular family who ordered some pita sandwiches, helped her majorly in her time of need.

It turns out the woman who gave the generous tip is also pregnant and has been to the restaurant regularly, during which time the two women discussed their impending motherhoods.

Clark is due to give birth Jan. 8.
