Popular Portland Chef Jenn Louis Arrested For Attacking Her Husband At Their Restaurant

James Beard award-winning celebrity chef Jenn Louis has been arrested on charges of domestic violence after allegedly attacking her husband during dinner service at their Portland, Oregon restaurant, Lincoln.

Police showed up at around 9:15 pm on Friday after David Welch, restaurant co-owner and bar manager, called 911 following an altercation during which his wife allegedly punched him in the nose.

Louis was booked into county jail on a domestic violence misdemeanor assault, according to Oregon Live and was released soon thereafter without bail.

"I'm fine," he told the media. "I'm not injured other than that."

The two have been married for 12 years and are in the middle of getting a divorce. The estranged couple also own Sunshine Tavern in Southeast Portland. Chef Louis has plans to open an Israeli restaurant in Los Angeles later this year.

"We're going to do the best we can to serve the best produce and continue to focus on customer service," Welch said.

Louis is not the only well-known chef to be accused of domestic violence in recent months. In March, Paul Qui was arrested for allegedly assaulting and threatening his girlfriend.
