Num Pang Sandwich Shop Is Teaming Up With The Beastie Boys For Charity

Num Pang, the popular Cambodian sandwich shop in New York, is hosting a Chefs Give Back series, during which a celebrity guest chef will help to create a limited-edition sandwich with proceeds going to a charity of their choice. Up next? The Beastie Boys' founding member founder Adam Horovitz, aka Ad-Rock. There'll be no funky monkeying around with the quality of this sandwich, piled high with smoked meat provided by Mile End Deli, pickled carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, dill, and a chile Russian dressing.

Served as a lunchbox, with a pickle spear, soda, and bag of chips, this "beast" sandwich comes at the hefty price of $16, but proceeds will support two animal rescue charities: Barc, a not-for-profit no-kill animal shelter in Brooklyn, and the Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue. You can get the sandwich every day between March 17 and April 30, but you might want to hurry, because only 30 sandwiches will be made at each location daily.

Other celebrities who have participated in the Num Pang charity series include Mario Batali and Dan Kluger.
