Now You Can Pay For Dinner With Your OpenTable App

Every time we turn around, there's a new app making everyday tasks more convenient. Now if you live in Los Angeles, you can pay your restaurant tab with the OpenTable app.OpenTable is testing out a new feature called OpenTable Tab, which allows you to "check in" to a restaurant before getting a bill, letting your server know how much you want to pay, and then get up and go: no need for a credit card or cash.

Right now, the feature is only available for 75 restaurants in Los Angeles, but will spread to other eateries and cities by the end of the year.

"Restaurant goers in LA love to be treated like regulars and truly value a VIP experience," said Catherine Porter, senior vice president of strategy and business development at OpenTable. "OpenTable Tab is designed to reinvent and simplify the way diners pay at restaurants and enhance the overall dining experience. By removing the cumbersome and time-consuming credit card swap, diners who use OpenTable Tab can focus on enjoying their fantastic meal and our restaurant partners can focus on delivering amazing hospitality."
