M&M's Will Let America Vote For A New Peanut Flavor

M&M's is letting fans vote for a new peanut flavor for the 2016 presidential election season.

Similar to the Lay's Do Us a Flavor campaign that takes place each year to find a new fan-created chip flavor, M&M's is asking for people to vote for their new favorite peanut variety. Options include Chili Nut, Honey Nut, Coffee Nut, or Original Peanut.

M&M's took a lot of time to test each of the flavors out with focus groups. Coffee apparently had the highest overall purchase intent, chili was the leading flavor concept, and honey was the most requested.

Voting will not take place until March 2016 on the M&M's Facebook page and will end in June. The winning peanut flavor will be available in stores in August 2016.

The flavors definitely sound intriguing, and M&M's is no stranger to fun flavors like Pumpkin Spice and Pecan Pie, which are available during the fall season. Which peanut flavor sounds the best to you?
