McDonald's Customer Arrested For Filling Cup Of Water With Soda Instead

18-year-old Cody Morris' money-saving hack backfired on him. He was arrested and faces a robbery charge for filling a cup intended for water with soda at a Springdale, Arkansas, McDonald's.

Morris and two other people entered the restaurant after ordering three large cups of water at the drive-thru. They proceeded to empty their cups and fill them with soft drinks instead, reports Fox News. The manager quickly caught on to what was happening and asked the customers to return the soda. Morris was the only one of the three to refuse.

The manager tried to block Morris' car from leaving, however Morris hit the McDonald's employee twice before fleeing the scene. Morris was shortly arrested after the police found his car at a nearby bowling alley.
