KFC Goes Spicy, Debuts Nashville Hot Chicken At Select Locations

Kentucky Fried Chicken is feeling fiery. KFC just announced the debut of their version of the Southern regional favorite, hot chicken.Hot chicken or Nashville hot chicken is a spicy fried chicken made with cayenne pepper and usually served on top of white bread with pickle chips. Even though Nashville is the home of this epically spicy chicken dish, KFC is testing it first in their Pittsburgh locations. The  dish should start popping up on menus nationwide soon.

According to KFC, their Nashville hot chicken is made with "a blend of cayenne-smoked paprika," and delivers on being both spicy, and using authentic regional U.S. ingredients. The Nashville hot chicken style  will be available when you order KFC's signature extra crispy breast, drumsticks, thighs, or tenders. Prices for meal combos with coleslaw and biscuits range from $5.49 for a one-piece breast basket to $29.99 for a 24-piece tenders tailgating platter.
