Join The Rubin Museum Of Art For A Free Summer Block Party On July 19, With Food From Starr Events Chef Ali Loukzada

On Sunday, July 19, the Rubin Museum of Art in New York City will host its annual summer block party featuring free museum admission, life performances, and art-making activities.

The day's events feature a connection with the Rubin's current exhibition, Becoming Another: The Power of Masks.

Meanwhile, Starr Events chef Ali Loukzada of Café Serai, the museum's restaurant, will serve both Himalayan-inspired cuisine and classic American dishes.

The museum, in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, features art and projects from the Himalayas, India, and neighboring regions. In celebration of the museum's mission to create cross-cultural connections, chef  Loukzada will serve potato samosas, mango lassies, and "popcorn spiked with a special blend of Indian and Asian spices" as well as American classics — Frito pies, burgers, and hot dogs. Ice cream will be provided by Van Leeuwen.

The Rubin Museum of Art's summer block party is free to the public and will be held on Sunday, July 19 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.
