ISIS Recruiter Admits Members Often Miss Pizza, Offers Free Refrigerators To New Recruits

A former British national who became a member of the Islamic State terrorist group (also known as ISIS or ISIL) is offering free refrigerators to families willing to travel to Syria or Iraq and join the group, according to The Sunday Times.

The recruiter, 27-year-old Omar Hussain, previously worked as a security guard for a branch of the U.K. grocery chain Morrisons, and now writes a blog for ISIS in which he tries to convince Westerners to join.

Hussain's latest tactic is offering the promise of free home appliances. Hussain also urged takeout owners and "pizza chefs" to join, as ISIS members often crave foods of the Western world, according to the Times.

In addition to providing household groceries and covering rent, ISIS leaders also "provide your family with the basic household items, such as a washing machine, fridge, cooker, carpets, mattresses, and some other kitchen items," Hussain wrote.

The organization has reportedly developed such a significant presence in Syria that it now controls factories that manufacture those appliances, which are supplied to those living within ISIS territories.
