Geoffrey Zakarian Is Opening A New Restaurant In Beverly Hills Named After His Young Son

Geoffrey Zakarian, the silver-haired Chopped judge extraordinaire, may be having his busiest year yet; he is opening his second restaurant in the past six months.Zakarian's newest venture is Georgie — named after his 2-year-old son — and will be opening in June in Beverly Hills, along with an accompanying bar, Garden Bar, according to Page Six.

The restaurant, which will be located in The Montage Beverly Hills, is Zakarian's first culinary foray into the Beverly Hills area. According to Page Six, Zakarian is looking to be a bicoastal and chef, and will be purchasing a second home either in Beverly Hills or Malibu.

"I am very impressed with the incredible chefs and food scene in Los Angeles and am quite humbled to be a small part of it," Zakarian told Page Six.

The Food Network talent and renowned chef also had plans to open a restaurant in Washington's  Trump International Hotel, but withdrew last fall, along with Chef José Andrés, after Trump's controversial, racially charged remarks.
