Friendly's Ice Cream Debuts 10 New Sundae Cups

Friendly's Ice Cream has debuted 10 new sundae cups for consumers to enjoy, just in time for ice cream season.

They include eight everyday flavors and two limited-edition options, and are available in supermarkets across the Northeast, according to a release.

"Friendly's sundae cups are an iconic ice cream treat that's been enjoyed for years by adults and kids alike, and we're thrilled to expand the lineup with ten all-new flavors," said Tim Hopkins, executive vice president of retail and manufacturing for Friendly's. "Our new sundae cups bring ice cream lovers the opportunity to enjoy modern flavors like salted caramel alongside tried and true classics like chocolate fudge."

The limited-edition options are Wattamelon and Crayola Color Me Sundae. Wattamelon, inspired by Friendly's Wattamelon Roll, features watermelon sherbet with chocolate chips mixed in and is topped with green icing and chocolate flakes. Crayola Color Me Sundae is a sundae cup version of Friendly's Crayola Decorate Your Own Ice Cream Cake. It has layers of green and yellow vanilla-flavored ice cream and is topped with blue marshmallow whipped topping and colored sprinkles.

The new sundae cup creations that are here to stay are Candy Bar, Chocolate Cake Krunch, Salted Caramel Cake Krunch, Cherry Chocolate Chunk, Heath, Strawberry Cake Krunch, Original Chocolate Fudge, and Original Caramel Sundae.

Friendly's sundae cups retail for $1.49-$1.69. Wattamelon sundae cups will be available through September, and Crayola Color Me Sundae will be available through January. The new flavors join six existing sundae cup flavors, which are Original Fudge, Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, Reese's Pieces, Ice Cream Cake, Jim Dandy, and Cookie Dough.
