Good news, Bostonians! Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria Napoletana, the best pizza in America according to The Daily Meal (and many other pizza connoisseurs) officially has an opening date in Boston.We already reported in February that the owners hinted that Boston would be the next location. Now, they are officially arriving in Beantown on December 16 to the Chestnut Hill mall in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood.
The oven at this current location is a step-by-step duplicate of Frank Pepe’s original coal-fire brick oven built in 1925. And yes, the new location will feature some of Pepe’s personal favorites like his iconic white clam pizza; spinach, mushroom, and gorgonzola pie; and Caesar salad.
“The number one priority is maintaining our family tradition of serving fresh, high-quality pizza that tastes as good as what we’ve been serving in New Haven since 1925,” said Gary Bimonte, grandson of Frank Pepe and Director of Quality Assurance & Training. “Our guests are an extension of the Pepe family, and we’re thrilled to finally be a part of the exciting dining scene in Greater Boston.”
