Enterprising Girl Scout Sells Cookies Outside Pot Dispensary

This Girl Scout is one smart cookie.

It's that time of year again when Girl Scouts are tempting us with boxes of Thin Mints, Samoas, and more. And while things are a little bit easier for the modern Scout now that digital ordering is available, there's nothing wrong with implementing a strategic sales plan. Enter one Girl Scout who decided to sell cookies outside the Foster Buds Marijuana Dispensary in Portland with her aunt this past weekend. Her sign said Satisfy Your Munchies."

According to local news station KATU, the young girl was looking to raise enough money to go to horse camp this summer, and it looks like it might happen. Within minutes of setting up shop outside the dispensary, she already had several interested customers looking to satisfy their munchies.

Foster Buds eagerly got on board and even offered a sale: If you bought a box of cookies, you'd get a discount on certain strains of marijuana. Now that's what we call teamwork.

"The Girl Scouts organization said they don't condone this, but it's not against the rules," her aunt told KATU. The Girl Scouts also forewarn girls against selling outside dispensaries without adult supervision.
