Chipotle Is Giving Out Free Booze In New Effort To Woo Lapsed Customers

In recent months, Chipotle has totally revitalized its approach to food safety and customer satisfaction after a massive foodborne illness outbreak. From the introduction of a loyalty programs to frequently doling out free burrito coupons, Chipotle is practically begging burrito bowl enthusiasts to come back.

The fast-casual chain's newest ploy is free booze. Yes, you heard that right: At certain Midwest Chipotle locations, you'll be able to take advantage of two-for-one margarita and beer deals.

You'll be able to either get the half-off or the two-for-one deal from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 300 locations in Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin, according to Consumerist.  Unfortunately, it's only one deal per customer, so you won't easily be able to get sloshed with a side of guac — at least not cheaply.

The promotion will run through September, but, if successful, may spread to other regions. You can get more details on state-specific promotions at Business Insider.
