Bread From Sara Lee, Nature's Harvest, And Other Brands Recalled Over Glass Fragments

Bimbo Bakeries, the largest bakery company in the United States, according to its website, has issued a recall across 11 states for bread produced for Sara Lee, Nature's Harvest, and Great Value brands, among others produced for supermarkets.

The recall was announced "due to the possible presence of fragments of glass caused by a broken light bulb at one of its bakeries," according to a press release.

Bimbo Bakeries received three consumer complaints regarding the discovery of broken glass.

The recall includes seven Sara Lee products, two products each sold under the Nature's Harvest and Great Value brands, and one each for the Kroger, L'Oven Fresh, and Bimbo brands. The breads have 'best by' dates between August 29 to September 1.

No injuries have been reported thus far, but customers who purchased any of the items mentioned in the recall are asked to return the bread to the place of purchase for a full refund.
