Bounce Sporting Club Creates A Michael Phelps-Inspired Burger

Ready or not, the Rio Summer Olympics are less than two weeks away.

To celebrate (and nosh on while we watch athletes from all over the world battle it out on the global stage), Bounce Sporting Club has created the "Notorious Phelps" burger, inspired by Michael Phelps.

The burger, available for a limited time, is made with three Pat Lafrieda patties, smoked pork belly, truffle hash browns, cheddar cheese, pickled Old Bay hollandaise sauce, and a sunny-side up egg.

Bounce Sporting Club's executive chef Sean Olnowich soaks the brioche bun for the burger with banana-infused Jameson and egg batter to make French toast buns, as French toast is one of Phelps' favorite breakfast foods, Olnowich said.

"At Bounce Sporting Club we pride ourselves on our burger program," Olnowich told The Daily Meal, "So what better way than to make a special burger that fits into Phelps' mega calorie daily intake?"

The Notorious Phelps burger will be available August 5–21 and costs $25.
