Ben & Jerry's Co-Founder Made A Homemade Batch Of His Bernie Sanders-Inspired Ice Cream

Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's, finally made his idea for a Bernie Sanders-inspired ice cream a reality. Unfortunately for Ben & Jerry's fans, the flavor is not associated with Ben & Jerry's and therefore will not appear at a store near you. Rather, Cohen whipped up a batch of the flavor (a mint ice cream with a disc of solid chocolate on top) at home in his kitchen in Vermont, First We Feast reports.

Cohen made a total of 40 pints of Bernie's Yearning and donated 25 of them to Sanders' campaign. Fans can enter to win one of these 25 pints, each of which is numbered and signed by Cohen himself.

The back of the pint of Cohen's Bernie's Yearning reads "A participatory flavor including a graphic description of what's wrong in our country (in 3D frozen confectionary form) and a tribute to the only presidential candidate who has offered solutions that will actually fix the problems."
