Animal Instincts: 1 Out Of 3 Vegetarians Secretly Eat Meat When They're Drunk

A recent study of nearly 2,000 vegetarians has revealed something that most vegetarians we've met wouldn't dare admit — a sizable portion of them eat meat when they're drunk enough.

According to a recent poll from VoucherCodesPro, a British website for finding discount codes, a third of vegetarians (approximately 37 percent) find themselves giving in to the siren song of steak, or chicken, or pork, or bacon — to name a few temptations.

When drunk, bacon was the indulgence of choice for 27 percent of vegetarians, while 19 percent craved fried chicken, and 14 percent opted for sausage. The two most popular choices, however, were meat kebabs for 39 percent, and burgers for 34 percent of vegetarians-when-sober.

George Charles, founder of the site, encouraged friends of vegetarians to play the wet blanket, for a good cause. "I think it's important for friends of these 'vegetarians' to support them when drunk and urge them not to eat meat, as I'm sure they regret it the next day," Charles told The Independent
