Taco Bell Debuts Energy Drink Slushie

After a successful test in Tennessee, Taco Bell has launched the new Rockstar Punched Freeze nationwide, according to Brand Eating. It is the latest flavor to join the chain's icy slush drink rotation, replacing Starburst Cherry and joining Mountain Dew Baja Blast and Starburst Strawberry.

Rockstar Punched Freeze is a "caffeinated fruit punch energy drink flavor" and contains 92 milligrams of caffeine per 16-ounce cup, compared to about 240 milligrams of caffeine in a 16-ounce can of the original Rockstar Punched energy drink, according to Chew Boom. It has 220 calories.

Taco Bell describes the drink as "your own personal hype man" on its website, and writes, "It's the perfect refreshment to keep you hyped from the start of the show to way past the after-party."

The drink will be available for a limited time, at a suggested price of $2.49 for a 16-ounce cup.
